xThe Deerma DEM-CS50 (price-list code DEMCS-50, also sold as DEM-CS50M) is a small renewable dehumidifier for a closet, cupboard or bathroom cabinet. Silica gel beads pull moisture from the air. There is no compressor and no water tank to empty.
Deerma describes absorption up to 150 ml a cycle and use in spaces up to about 5 m². When the beads turn from orange toward dark green, they are full. Plug the unit in for about 12 to 15 hours so the PTC heaters dry the gel, then it can work again for a couple of weeks.

xWhere should I put the DEM-CS50?
A closed small space: wardrobe, shoe cabinet, cupboard or a bathroom cabinet up to about 5 m². It is not sized for a whole living room.
Does it collect a bucket of water?
No. The gel holds up to about 150 ml a cycle. You regenerate it instead of pouring water out.
How do I know it is full?
Watch the window. Deerma says the beads move from orange toward dark green when they are saturated.
How do I renew it?
Plug it in for about 12 to 15 hours so the ceramic heaters dry the gel. Then it is ready for another cycle.
Is it the same as a humidifier?
No. A dehumidifier removes moisture. The F-500 and F-600 add it. Both types are under air treatment.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
